Just a reminder that we will be meeting at the Barrows Parking lot at 12pm on Saturday to go to the Harrison House. The event should last until about 3:30. Please let me know asap if you are unable to make it the event. Psi Chi,
As Graduation is just around the corner on May 20th, it is time to think about pimpin your graduation robes!
Psi Chi offers many different things from graduation stoles and chords to medallions and pins. For those of you who may have missed our third general meeting, we talked about everybody within Psi Chi ordering Stoles, thus allowing individuals to associate us with PSI CHI! You can then order whatever else you wish to give your gowns your own little flare! Please fill out an order form here or available outside the Psi Chi office and submit it along with a check addressed to Psi Chi/ASUC to the Psi Chi office by April 30th.
We will then go ahead and order all the merchandise as a group. Please note, individuals will not be able to order graduation gear online, as it asks for an administrative code, submitting orders to the Psi Chi office is the only way to order Grad gear! If you have any further questions please feel free to e-mail me, or come visit me in the Psi Chi office Tuesday's from 12-1 o'clock. Congratulations PSI CHI we're GRADUATING!!!!!!!

Harrison House Literacy BBQ, Saturday April 15th
- The Harrison House is a transitional housing facility for homeless families located in Berkeley. Last semester we organized a Halloween Carnival for the kids and it lots of fun! We will be having really cool activities for the kids including crafts, face painting games, Easter egg decorating, and storytelling. And of course we'll have food!
-To prepare for this event, we also need to get lots of books donated (new or used). We'd really appreciate it if you can donate children's books for this event :) You can gather up some old books when you go home or there are lots of used bookstores around Berkeley. Anything helps! This is also an excellent opportunity to earn points to achieve active membership this semester . There is a colorful box in the Psi Chi Office; just leave the books in the box with a note labeling which ones you brought so I can award you points :)
- Good News!!!--We have 9 boxes of books donated from 1/2 Price Books and about 6 boxes of books, games, and really cute stuffed animal bookmarks donated from Barnes and Noble. We will have lots of cool things to give the kids and their moms :)
- I will also need people to help plan this event. This will involve things such as deciding on crafts to have the kids make, coming up with games, gathering supplies, and lots of other fun stuff! Plus, the more people and new ideas flowing, the better! Please email me if you're interested in helping out.
***Please email me ASAP (by this Sunday!) if you are interested in attending the actual event on Saturday, April 15th. Please include which activities you would like to help with at the event***
- face painting
- reading stories
- helping with food prep
- doing a cooking activity with the kids
- doing a craft activity with the kids (decorating Easter bags)
- helping with the plastic Easter egg hunt (hiding the eggs)
- dying Easter eggs
- Decorating/making bookmarks with the kids
- Leading a game with the kids
*Also, if you know of any good books that you'd like to share with the kids, please let me know :)
